Update and Coming Events
This in From past writer Justin Quarry “My story “Ampulex Compressa,” with which I applied to the the Kerouac Project and from which I read at the the house at my class salon this summer, will be published in Alaska Quarterly Review; and my story “Test-Drive Baby,” which I read at Soft Exposure, will be published in The Southern Review. (And funny thing, the editor of The Southern Review, Jeannie Leiby, with whom I edited the end of “T-DB” via phone, until recently taught at UCF and lived on Golfcourse for years. Do any of you know her?) The book still feels a bit away, and that’s if I’m lucky, but solid publications such as these at least feel like steps in that direction.”
Upcoming events include Judy Copeland’s Farewell Reading. The date is set for Saturday November 14th at 8PM at the Kerouac House. The following day Sunday November 15th the Kerouac House will be part of the College Park Historic Homes Tour 12:30-5 PM. Both the reading and the tour are opportunities to experience the Kerouac House. Look for more information next month.
