Kimberly’s Farewell reading will be held Saturday May 9th @ 8:00PM at the Kerouac House. After the reading there will be a reception with nibbles and wine (please bring something if you feel like it).

Kimberly is at it again. She is teaming up with Mary Ann Stefano at Mad About Words where she will be leading a workshop titled “Truth” vs. Fiction” Saturday May 16 from noon to four PM at the Kerouac House. A Writing Consultation with Kimberly Elkins, current Kerouac Writer in Residence for the Kerouac Project
A two-hour private consultation on your work and on writing in general at the Kerouac House in Orlando with current writer in residence, Kimberly Elkins. Kimberly will read up to 40 pages in advance of your meeting, and give you her detailed notes and critique, along with advice on technique and the business of writing. The work could be fiction, general nonfiction, memoir or play or screenplay (any genre but poetry). If you don’t have current work you’d like to have read, then we could discuss creative ideas you have and questions you’d like answered about writing. The consultation would need to be scheduled before May 25th, 2009.
